 The
meals provided at Redehall School are popular with the children. We encourage all
children to participate in hot school lunches, which are available at an
additional charge, as is milk at morning break.
Meals are well balanced and are varied on a four week cycle.
Good manners and good eating habits are encouraged by the staff
who supervise the lunches.
All our food is freshly prepared each day, using our Caterers,
Zebedee's Lunchbox.
The lunch menus on a 3 weekly cycle and are changed seasonally to ensure variety
and a balanced menu. All of our dishes are freshly prepared on the day of
delivery.
We use high quality fresh ingredients, plenty of vegetables, fruit, meat, fish
and organic pulses. All of our food is baked, braised, steamed or boiled and we
do not serve any deep fried items. We also use low sugar, low salt and reduced
fat products and where possible we use local suppliers.
All of our menus are approved by local council, dieticians and trading
standards, we also work closely with these organisations on developing our
menus. This ensures that we meet all current government guidelines with regards
to children receiving a healthy and balanced diet and we continually keep
ourselves updated with changing government legislation.
